Much of the story seemed to be just treading water, sending characters on journeys that had little real purpose, and the book certainly didn’t address some of the big issues raised previously.
The first in this series I would have rated 3.5 but give 4 stars to on the grounds that I was interested enough to continue. This book is very much a basic 3, and an okay novel rather than a particularly good or bad one.
